I've read some of the other reviews & all I can say is that I agree with those who have enjoyed these phones. Since day one, I have loved listening to them, at leisure and especially via nearfeild monitoring in the studio! As for their construction, never had a problem with mine falling apart. I like their design, too, I'm not very ruff on my ear gear which makes me ponder, " How are these ppl treating their equipment?" Bottomline, I recommend the CB-1's to anyone looking for a quality product with great sound, utility and a price range that's very affordable! And I stand on that, "WORD IS BOND!"

Decent sound with somewhat neutral response. Okay depth and expression of detail. Can become fatiguing much sooner than slightly more expensive headphones. Plastic on sides broke after only 1 yr of intermittent use.

I've bought two of these. After the first one broke in a little over a year, I got another pair thinking it was a fluke. Now both have broken in nearly the exact same spot on the headband above the ear.

Got these years ago thanks to the marketing and maybe have 10 hours of listening on them trying like them a couple times a year.
